As an organic continuation of Jeremy Scott and adidas Original’s decade-long collaboration, the iconic designer continues the partnership by introducing both new exciting styles and his signature classics for F/W 2014.
The unique partnership combines Scott’s characteristic point of view on luxury streetwear, through his use of qualitative fabrics and intricate prints, and adidas Original’s longstanding dedication to hi-tech and versatile sportswear.
A technical feel comes across in the adidas Originals ZX Flux Base Pack; attributed to its two-tone mesh upper and welded TPU 3-Stripes execution.

While the stripped back style feels like a shoe of today, the colour blocking on the midsole harks back to the ZX 8000 trainer on which the ZX Flux is based. This is the first time the iconic blocking joins the rollout of the ZX Flux series, and it is sure not to be the last.

A simple colour palette is used throughout the Base Pack for FW14, with the option of a bright red Poppy colourway or a cobalt blue also known as the Satellite colourway; on a black and white midsole.

ZX Flux is now available at adidas Originals stores in Canal Walk and V&A Waterfront (Cape Town), Menlyn Park Shopping Centre (Pretoria) as well as at select Stuttafords, Sportscene, Studio88, Smith and Abrahams, X Trend, Soho and a store is good stores.
In March, adidas Originals held an exclusive event for a select group of women’s fashion media in Cape Town. The event spanned an entire day and was a first of its kind in many respects; challenging the age-old tradition of simply telling media about an upcoming range, the choice was made instead to invite media to experience it for themselves.
Over the course of the day, groups of print and online media arrived at the Roodebloem Studios in Woodstock where they were individually introduced to the SS14 and FW14 collections.
During the course of an hour, the media – which included the likes of ELLE, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, GLAMOUR, Women’s Health, as well as online platforms such as One Small Seed, Fashion Breed, and The Visual Journal – were invited to select their favourite items from the SS14 collections on display and asked to create a look of their own, after which they were given the rare opportunity to shoot that particular look with one of two professional models on site.
